Had to re-upload because the other file was stuck in "preparing film" Should this go into the 'fantasy' or "horror/suspense" genre?
So this is my second year film from my Animation course in IADT (Dun Laoghaire).
The characters were animated in Flash
The backgrounds were hand-drawn and inked, with the broad brushes being added in Photoshop
The still frames were all hand-drawn, with most of the colouring done on Photoshop with brushes
Everything was composited on After-Effects, with some of the more flashy effects added through this programme too.
The theme of "time"
was given to us, and I pitched four very different ideas (one had dancing Morlocks, one had Jazz-loving robots, one had watchmaking blue lemurs) and by popular vote, this one was chosen.
It is loosely based on the story of Snow White.
It has some sort of deep meaning that I'm now a bit hazy on after working very long, tightly-packed hours on it for the past few months.Yeah, it's kinda like 'the Ring' - I only fully realised that mid-way through production... that film seems to have permeated into my subconscious....I was consciously inspired by:
~ Harry Clarke
~ Gustav Klimt An' all that good stuff...Music by the awesome Kevin MacLeodMany, many amazing tracks available ROYALTY-FREE here [link]
Seriously, this guy's music is in about half our films, if not more!Font is "Bleeding Cowboys"But I will always know it as "So long Mr. Despair"...Enjoy...
