So I started drawing an older Mabel after catching up on some Gravity Falls today, then realised I was just drawing myself so I just went with that. This is an outfit I actually own, I have a big sparkly jumper that's making a return now the weather is turning colder. Also I am the queen of silly novelty earrings!
When I was watching "Double Dipper" it was like looking back into being a 12-year-old:
"That sounds like a fat old lady's name"
"I choose to take that as a compliment!"
It's like they lifted it right out of my childhood, gah!
Though I didn't have to deal with anyone as persistent as Pacifica! I don't think we had such sophisticated mean girls where I come from. There were a group of girls when I was twelve who called themselves 'the populars' which I just thought was kinda sad because no one else ever called them that!
I dunno whether I was insanely obvious or wise beyond my years... possibly both?
I think I had a pretty cushy ride for most of my teen years, most of the girls at school liked/tolerated me because I was only mildly weird in a gentle, friendly way and would draw pictures for them if they asked me. No one was nasty to me, but I tended to keep out of the way most of the time anyway. Then again, outside Ireland and the UK, you don't have the custom of friends making good-natured fun of eachother on a daily basis to quite the same degree ('slagging') so maybe it's just different here.
Also, I was always the first to make fun of myself, which probably helped! Anyway, what was I talking about?Ah yes, Gravity Falls.
I love Gravity Falls, it's a lovely-looking show with a lot of heart and very true-to-life characters!
right in the childhood
"right in the childhood" is how I feel about the entire show!
Agreed xD
