EDIT: Fixed it up a bit with a new, shiny background full O candyfloss goodness!

My takes on the ladies of Disney, done with the "Disney-esque" Style I've adapted.

Where to begin? I'll take it from the top (Top-left)

1. The Snow White Queen. Does she have a name? Does it matter? No, now that she's not the fairest anymore. I always thought that was a bit tragic in her story, but so true. When looks are all you have, what happens when they go away? This version was based on me reading the original outline description of the Queen. The mirror is based on a Venetian mask I have.

2. Tinkerbell - well, you've seen this one before, but I'll explain a little anyway. I wanted to give her kind of a wild look, as I imagine fairies to have - plus give her a mishievious smile, to suit her personality. Her dress is made of leaves because since I was little I thought that's what fairies made their clothes from!

3. Bianca Neve a.k.a Snow White - Again, one you've seen before, but I still will explain. She's just eaten the apple, and has turned into a demon - I decided the curse would rob her of her fairness. Plus it looks cool.

4. Cyndi (Cinderella) - For some reason I always associate Cinderella (the movie, since so many Super Sweet Sixteens try to emulate it) with the song "Material Girl", and thus Cyndi was born.
From watching the movie I didn't think that the stepsisters had to be ugly physically (their personalities were enough to put people off) and that Cinderella herself didn't have to be stunningly beautiful, she should have been "beautiful" because she was a good person inside. The story seemed to give the impression that physical beauty equated with inner beauty, even though I think it did not set out to. To me it seemed like she got what she wanted by just looking pretty (not nessicarily the fairy Godmother helping her, but that the Prince somehow automatically fell in love with her over everyone else at the ball, thus ridding herself of a life of poverty through no real effort except fitting into shoes! :D)

The redesign of "Cyndi" is more a flipping of the story's characters' natures completely to the opposite, while retaining what they look like on the outside, rather than some of the others I've drawn, who've had a physical overhaul but kept the personalities the same, because in life it's not alway the beautiful people who are nice, nor the unattractive who are mean.

So I've redesigned Cyndi as a typical "Super Sweet Sixteen" (you know, the really bratty ones that throw tantrums - not the relatively nice ones) Girl who always gets what she wants. I like her - she's primarily a comedy character - maybe she'll learn something along the way of her story.

5. Minnie - This girl is as quiet as a mouse. :D I've decided to make her a singer at a 1920's Jazz club. I don't really have an elaborate backstory for her.

6. Ursula - Ah, yes, the shapeshifting squid lady. She looks different mainly because I based her off Jenova - the OTHER evil shapeshifting Squid Lady with white hair. (the fan is to hide the fact that mermaids are pretty much naked, and I won't have that sort of thing here because I'd have to put on "adult filter" for just a tiny part of the picture) The story is one I thought I came up with, but many others have thought it too (which is good - means it's plausible). In the movie, Ursula says that she was banished from the palace - that means she had to live there, right? And where the hell is Ariel's mom? Maybe she got banished for killing Ariel's mom, but I like to think she is Ariel's mom. :giggle: Oh the scandal!
Ursula hates humans, and decides to sabotage Ariel's chances with the human prince to ensure she'll never get involved with the human world.

7. Jasmine - I'm particularly pleased with how she turned out. Jasmine here takes the role of Jafar - She hypnotizes her father into making him reject suitors etc. At first she was redesigned as a villain, but the more I thought about it, the more sympathy I could get for her. At a time when women were pretty oppressed, Jasmine's hypnosis coulg give her power, and a voice. It could enable her to make her own decisions and also decide for herself who she would marry (making the Aladdin thing easier). The costume is a mix of the original Jasmine's and Jafar's.

8. Aka (Arial) - Aka means "red". I decided to go for a change in look rather than personality - because I like Ariel's fun character. Her mermaid look is more fishy, with gills instead of a nose, and big fish lips. Her scales make a nice bra - no? She likes to sing but causes ships trouble unintentionally, since she is a siren.

9. Nichiko (Aka Sleeping Beauty) - Nichiko means "little sunshine" and is based on her name in the movie "Aurora". Nichiko has been asleep for hunderds of years, and waking up finds that she's... changed a bit. Decomposed. Nichiko is a real fun-loving, free spirited girl who always looks on the sunny side of life. (Basically the comic opposite of Maleficent). Her design is based on Aurora, Sally from the Nightmare before Xmas, and Emily the corpse Bride.

And that's everyone! Phew!

I love your take on these ladies! Amazing!
And the evil queen of Snow White has a name, in Gregory Maguire's version of the story, Mirror Mirror. Snow White is Bianca, and the queen's name is Lucrezia Borgia. There is a bit of history about Lucrezia, she was apparently an infamous murderess (go figure).
